I’ve tried straws, it doesn’t help. It’s so bad sometimes I’ll put the Eggnog back in the fridge and turn around only to find an emptied glass on the counter. WTF
Edit : Found a fix: Add ice and booze. Must be a receptor thing.

Step one to making eggnog last: exist.
Bleh, eggnog.

I don’t understand the question. Is making it last a thing?
Adding booze only makes me lose track of refills sooner.

More for me then.
Betcha if it came in bags, you’d try it.

I’
d like to enjoy an eggnog over at least 1/2 an
hour without drinking 4 days worth of fat.

Wow, bold statement.
I’ve tried it, not a fan. You guys can have it.

Being serious, I usually get the low fat stuff, which is way thicker than home made because if thickeners. I then cut it with skim milk. Lasts longer and spreads out the fat.

Wasn’t trying to be bold, just a harmless wise guy. Sorry.
Honestly, egg nog is a love or hate it thing. My wife doesn’t like it at all. My daughter and I love it but try to limit it to special treats.

That was supposed to come off less dickish. No offence taken or meant !

I’ve not heard someone describe it like that before, but I can see that. Safe to assume you don’t like Strawberry Nesquik either?

Our eggnog has booze in it from the start. In fact if it’s going to be ready for Christmas we have to get it mixed up very soon. http://culturally-confused.blogspot.com/2018/12/alton-brown-aged-eggnog.html

Ditto from me! Thank goodness.

My family would make a similar recipe once in a
while. Man, was it difficult to watch it age. We’d go to the fridge, even to grab a snack, and we’d hear an adult voice from the other room, “Don’t touch the eggnog!” hehe.

I tend to eschew the eggnog in favor of homemade Bailey's.

I believe his ages in mason jars in the fridge for 6 months.
